What Do I Need To Bring?
Grab your sewing kit and joing Tara for this relaxed and friendly class.
We don't like to set too many rules around your creativity and style, so take your learning at your own pace with your choice of project. We recommned a basic skirt, simple trousers, craft makes or simple childrens wear to help you get your skills started in a practical and encouraging way.
Tara will advise you on the best fabrics and stitches to use, along with the techniques you will need to produce a high quality finish for your work.

Our studios are equipped with Janome sewing machines available to each student, so you dont need to bring your machine with you.
Each student has their own dedicated workspace.
Iron and Ironing board are available for use
Our pattern cutting tables are great for cutting out your makes.
Whilst we do have a limited number of basic sewing kits ready for students to borrw during their class, we do reccomned that students bring theirs own sewing kit to class. This is not only for health and safety but also as your sewing knowledge and expertise grows you will grow beyond the basic kit and will find that you prefer certain brands, types and variations of equipement.

Dont forget to bring a drink of water or a flask of tea in case you need a refreshment break.
For your prject you will need to make sure you have a pattern (we can advise you on which one if you aren't sure), fabric (we reccomend pre washed if you are going to wash the garment once made).
