Try your hand at something new, take a day to immerse yourself in a skill or learn from a visiting tutor. Our workshop days are made for you to get creative, have fun and learn.
Knowledge, fun and a good time!
But really what is included varies by the workshop you book and if you choose a pre ordered kit for the session.
You won’t need to bring your sewing machine as we have a range of Janome machines available for use on the studio, along with some haberdashery spares, but if you are missing something just pop down to the ground floor shop who will be happy to help.
What Do I Need To Bring?
This depends on the workshop you choose, but materials lists will be given or if you prefer a kit will be available for you to pre order to use on the day.
Whilst we do have a limited number of basic sewing kits ready for students to borrow during their class, we do recommend that students bring their own sewing kit to class. This is not only for health and safety but also as your sewing knowledge and expertise grows you will grow beyond the basic kit and will find that you prefer certain brands, types and variations of equipment.
Please let us know in advance if you do not have your own sewing kit.
To get you started here is our recommended sewing kit list: What do you need in your Sewing Kit?
Don't forget to bring a drink of water or a flask of tea in case you need a refreshment break.
How Do I Book?
Our Current selection of Workshops are being hosted by our Sister company Inkberrow Design Centre in our upstairs studio.
These can be booked via their event page at https://inkberrowdesigncentre.co.uk/workshops/
