About Sewing Studio

Brenda Killigrew Sewing Studio is a new concept providing bespoke opportunities to access a range of textile training, drop-in sewing sessions and a one-stop shop for all your sewing needs and accessories.

Sewing Studio has been setup by Brenda Killigrew who has been working in the Fashion and Education industries for the past 30 years, with extensive experience of high end fashion and bespoke courses to give people the skills required to fulfil their ambition - no matter how small or large.

With over 30 years experience in fashion education Brenda is a true believer in skill sharing. With many students leaving to go on to fashion careers, winning prestigious industry awards and starting their own businesses so alongside teaching City and Guilds she will be bringing her popular Young Designers Club to the studio.

Meet the team

Office Staff and Course Tutors



Tara Butler

Head of Sales & Tutor

You'll find Tara managing the haberdashery department here at the studio. Qualified in City and Guilds Tara will also be at the heart of our high street community running her popular all level workshop "Take Away With Tara". Different projects to complete each week.


Sheena Glazzard


Sheena studied at Inkberrow Design Centre and is a City and Guilds Level 3 qualified tutor in Theatre, Pattern Cutting, Dancewear and Lingerie. She runs her own lingerie and dancewear business.

Sheena will be running her popular bra making short courses here in Bromsgrove.


Catherine Cleaver


Catherine has a love for historical costume and skilful finishes that make a garment shine.

Trained at Inkberrow design Centre Catherine teaches City and Guilds Levels 1-3 in Tailoring, Pattern Cutting and Fashion.


Ruth Parkinson-Johns


A graduate of West Surrey College of Art and Design, having specialised in Printed Textiles, Ruth is a qualified teacher.

Her creative workshops and courses include lots of techniques including free machining and hand embroidery.

Susan Streeter


Susan is a couture dressmaker who has 30 years of textiles knowledge and technical understanding. She has an attentive and critical eye for detail. This expertise has been borne out of 17 years teaching and coaching, as well as, commercial experience as a sole trader of a former business ‘Lazy Daisy Designs Bridalwear’. Recently Susan has added patchwork and quilting to her repertoire.
